The Challenge

Outranking aggregators on their home turf.

Sandals Resorts is the leading operator of all-inclusive couples resorts in the Caribbean. They came to us with a clear, ambitious goal: dominate organic search for "all inclusive resorts" — a SERP that was entirely controlled by aggregator websites like CheapCaribbean, Costco, and Travelocity. Not a single brand result appeared on page one.

The challenge wasn't brand awareness. Sandals had that. The challenge was convincing Google that a brand page could outrank massive aggregator sites for one of the most competitive queries in luxury travel — while simultaneously building a page experience compelling enough to convert the traffic once it arrived.

The target page was generating zero bookings revenue. The keyword rankings were buried on page two. The organic traffic was negligible. We had six months to change all three.

Our Approach

Building the best page on the internet for this query.

01Technical Foundation
Cleaned up the crawl before building up the content

We started with a detailed technical SEO audit of Sandals' CMS, identifying crawl budget waste, keyword cannibalization across the site, and structural issues that were suppressing the target page's authority. You can't build on a broken foundation.

02Semantic Topic Modeling
Built a complete content model around the query

Using semantic keyword data, we mapped every term, intent variant, and content element needed to represent the "all inclusive resorts" query more comprehensively than any aggregator. The page needed to answer every question a searcher could have — in the right order, at the right depth.

03Page Experience
Redesigned for speed, context, and conversion

We rebuilt the page's content architecture and HTML to be semantically rich, structurally fast, and visually compelling — no small feat on an image-heavy luxury travel page. Every element served both the search engine and the human reading it. Fast pages rank. Beautiful pages convert.

04Off-Page & Infrastructure
Rebuilt the signals supporting the page

We rebuilt Sandals' sitemaps, cleaned up robots.txt, audited Google Search Console settings, and started building external links. We also deployed a Ghost-based blog giving us a content engine for ongoing semantic support and internal linking — compounding the page's authority month over month.

"The strategy boils down to creating the best page on the internet to represent this query. Everything else follows from that."
